Today the Daily Bedpost turns us on to The Great Big Chart of Fetishes, a color-coded flow-chart of sorts, listing and linking various sexual proclivities to one another. (The chart is photo-free and safe for work, unless you've got an eagle-eyed boss, or a screen that projects onto a wall—hey, it happens.)
Some of the preferences on the chart are widespread, or at least we've heard of them, and some are, shall we say, less common. Major categories and themes listed are…
Classic SM, including spanking, bondage, branding, suspension, burning, electrical shock—not sure when those last four became "classic," but whatevs;
Clothing, including lingerie, military gear, shoes, stockings and the ever-popular angora sweater fetish;
Medical Procedures like catheterization, castration, saline injections and infibulation. Had to look this last one up; it appears to be "genital cutting." Yikes. On to something more friendly…
Furvets, a category that includes toonies, plushies, fursuiters and werewolves;
Orgasmic Explosions, which includes fireworks, firesetting, A-bombs, breaking dishes, popping plastic
GA_googleFillSlotWithSize("ca-pub-1047529115803602", "Midarticle_300x100", 300, 100);
bags, and the sexiest of all, popping zits.
The chart has symbols for those practices that attract "notably high ratio of female fetishists." These include lactation, belly/butt expansion, sneeze fetish, vore (the desire to be eaten or to watch others get chomped—cannibals are very female-friendly), rubber mackintoshes, half-men, santa suits, dogs and dolphins. There's more, but our brains are in overdrive trying to conjure images of all these activities.
Suffice to say, the world is strange, to each her own, etc. etc.; we're just happy our boyfriends aren't aroused by toe jam, sheep or bird neck wringing. (But we'd still love you, promise.)

Ok, figured I would throw this one out there since it stumped me. (Not for the weak stomached.)Any links to material on how to safely (relative, ppl) inject saline into female breasts for temporary enlargement? It's supposed to be doable, but most of the information out there on saline injection is for temporary enlargement of testicles, which isn't what I'm looking for. Specific directions on where to inject the fluid and where not to in order to avoid tissue damage would be a bonus. I've already hit up the usual culprits for this kind of stuff, bmezine.com and a bunch of the bdsm how-to places. This thread is quite old, but since it has almost 1000 views, I will help you out with a lot of practical information here, backed up by a significant amount of personal experience.First of all, this is not a medical procedure, it is a form of temporary body modification. It is done for several reasons, some of which include sado-masochism (basically the practice of enjoying giving or receiving pain), exhibitionism (showing off for others), erotic humiliation (look it up) or for the simple and non-kinky goal of temporarily enlarging breasts for appearances sake, such as going out to a special event (yes, this happens for prom), etc. I am told there is a clinic in the Seattle area which performs this procedure, for a cost of around $500, marketed as temporary breast enlargement for the evening. I have not personally verified that this is in fact correct, just passing along what I have been told.Basically what happens, is that sterile saline (salt-water, aka basic medical IV fluid) is injected directly into the fatty tissue of the breast, generally in multiple (I find 4 or 8 to work well) places. The amount injected depends on the size of the breasts involved, with larger breasts accomodating a liter (think quart) or more. The fluid goes into the fatty tissue of the breast where it gathers, and is then gradually re-absorbed into the blood stream and processed by the kidneys and eliminated through the bladder as urine. The process involves some amount of pain/discomfort, as the breast swells well beyond it's normal size, although the speed with which the fluid is injected generally corresponds with how much it hurts. Once the procedure is complete, the fluid starts being gradually re-absorbed into the body immediately, so the breasts slowly begin to shrink back to their normal size. This can take anywhere from 6-8 hours, up to a couple of days, depending on several factors (hydration of the individual being one of them).Now we have to talk about risk. There IS risk here. First and foremost, any time you break the skin of the body, you introduce a route for infection to enter. This means septic technique precautions must be taken, ie cleaning the area to be injected thoroughly with alcohol swabs or iodine prior to the injections. Even so, there is still a very small risk of infection, so be aware of what to look for (go google infection signs/symptoms, I'm not listing them here). Also, since a significant amount of extra fluid is being eventually introduced into the bloodstream (by way of absorption from fatty tissue), there is some risk of complications, *generally* only if certain medical conditions are present. Anyone with kidney problems should not do this, period. Anyone with CHF (congestive heart failure) should not do this. This will temporarily and usually slightly, increase blood pressure, so people with high blood pressure should be aware of that. One person cited a danger of "hitting a vein with the saline/air". First of all, injecting a small amount of saline directly into a vein, even inside the breast accidentaly, is quite safe. This is exactly what is done when a doctor, nurse, paramedic etc starts an IV. Air is another matter entirely, and can be dangerous, however anyone who is skilled/knowledgable enough to be able to perform this procedure in the first place, will have no free air in the saline solution, so this is only an issue if someone is grossly negligent in what they are doing. Also, any time you are sticking needles into someone's chest, you have to be aware of puncturing the chest cavity, which contains some reasonably important organs such as the heart and lungs, to name a few. The injection needles for saline breast implants should enter the breast parallel to the body surface, to avoid this risk. The bottom line here is two things. For younger, healthy people with no underlying medical conditions, and when this procedure is done properly by a trained and competent person, the risk of any kind of complication is actually quite small.Someone also mentioned testicular enlargement with saline. This is actually false, the testicles are never enlarged (at least, they shouldn't be... if you inject saline into the testicles, they will be damaged. This is bad). What happens is the *scrotum* is injected with saline, which makes it swell significantly, causing a very visible change. Again, this can be done for many reasons, see above re: breast enlargement. Generally scrotum enlargement takes a greater time for the fluid to re-absorb, and people have been known to have to visit the ER when complications arose. I have never done this procedure and do not recommend it... then again I don't find it erotic or appealing either, so easy for me to say that.Now comes the personal opinion part. Temporary breast enlargement play is FUN, as well as highly erotic, if you're into that kind of thing. Any of you kinky people out there will at least be able to relate, if not agree. Most people will find this bizarre and totally ridiculous, I fully understand and accept that... it is certainly not for most people. For those who are adventurous, kinky, and curious as to what it would be like to increase their breasts by up to 2 cup sizes... it is just what the non-doctor ordered Any questions, go ahead and ask and I'll do my best to answer.Oh, and yes, I have medical training regarding the equipment involved here... and so should you, if you are even thinking about doing this to/for someone.

The attraction to nurses and their uniforms is a common example of a medical fetish.
Medical fetishism refers to a collection of sexual fetishes for objects, practices, environments, and situations of a medical or clinical nature.
This may include the sexual attraction to medical practitioners, medical uniforms, surgery, anaesthesia or intimate examinations such as rectal examination, gynecological examination, rectal temperature taking, catheterization, enemas, injections, the insertion of suppositories, menstrual cups and prostatic massage; or medical devices such as orthopedic casts and orthopedic braces (see also abasiophilia). Also, the field of dentistry and objects such as dental braces, retainers or headgear, and medical gags.
Within BDSM culture, a medical scene is a term used to describe the form of role-play in which specific or general medical fetishes are pandered to in an individual or acted out between partners.

[edit] Intimate examination
Intimate examinations are eroticized by some people as part of medical fetishism, and as such are a common service offered by professional dominants.
An intimate examination can form part of a scene in medical play where the dominant inflicts one or more embarrassing and humiliating quasi-medical procedures on the submissive. These may include an examination of the anus or vagina with a speculum, and handling and twisting of the penis and testicles or breasts and nipples. This may be a prelude to masturbation or administration of an enema. The sub may be placed in bondage beforehand.

Medical play
From Wipipedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Esse & Emm medical room from http://www.essandemm.com/
Medical play is a form of BDSM scene where the participants use medical themes and equipment as the basis of explorning SM and power exchange interactions. The dominant partner pretends to be a medical person (doctor, nurse, dentist). Such scenes may involve intimate examinations and medical procedures and equipment such as enemas, catheters, medical gags and gynaecological examination tables. The focus is often on humiliation of the "patient".
A warning
Many techniques used in medical play are standard medical procedures but applied in a BDSM context. Some of these procedures are not without real risk to the "patient" both in terms of physical harm and possible infection to them. They should not be carried out without proper training by someone with appropriate experience.
No responsibility is taken by Wipipedia, LFS or any editor of this article for any loss, harm or damage you may come to by attempting any medical play without appropriate tuition.

Medical restraints -www.informedconsent.co.uk/

] Medical restraints are a subset of general physical restraint used for medical purposes. Unlike some other forms of restraint, medical restraints are designed to restrain their wearer without causing pain.
Medical restraints are generally used to prevent people with severe physical or mental distorders from harming themselves or others.
Forms of medical restraint include
Neck braces (prevents neck movement, see posture collar)
Leg braces (for locking the knees either straight or at 90 degrees thus serverly restricting movement)
Institutional cuffs (for securing a patient)
Air casts (inflatable 'plaster' casts for immobilising limbs)
Vetrap, an adhesive bandage made by 3M that sticks to itself but not to the skin. Good for Mummification
In BDSM medical restraints can be used for longer term bondage senarios
